I visited Kings Dominion with a friend on 8/22/13 and was very disappointed with my experience. The only good thing was the weather was nice and there was not a long wait for rides. We had already known, thanks to the website that the main ride, The Dominator, was shut down but we were unaware that many other rides were shut down as well. I understand that the rides are shut down for safety reasons, but I think in situations like this the park should lower their admission rates. I don't pay 60 dollars to get on rides like the scrambler, that I can ride in a carnival. Also, half the rides looked run-down and rusty which is not appealing. Also, halfway through some rides, they would come to a complete stop which is ridiculous. I would rather the ride go a little slower at a constant speed, then come to a complete stop. We paid 15 dollars for three chicken tenders, small fries and a medium drink which is way to much. I would've played a game or too, but I felt so ripped off by this park that I didn't want to give them any more of my money. Hershey Park is much better, the rides are updated and you get awesome chocolate. Don't waste your money with Kings Dominion, which only has three good rides, one of which we didn't get to ride.
