After taking a delivery of my BMW yesterday, all I can say that I am very disappointed with this dealership. At the end, it feels as if they do not have any appreciation/respect for customer s time as well as there is a disaccord between the guys in sales/business managers and service. But let s start from the beginning
I was negotiating over the phone and email with BMW Toronto sales rep for the 2016 BMW 335i GT with 78km on it. After going back and fort for few days, I have made a final offer and sales representative asked me for a credit card for down payment. I told him that I cannot give him over the phone but instead I will be at the dealership in couple of days and provide him with my credit card at that time. I came to the dealership as promised and met with sales representative, inspected the car (had 79km on it) and went upstairs to finalize the paperwork. Sales rep took the paperwork to the manager for sign off. However, when he came back in his hands there was a counteroffer from the manager. I told him right away that I was disappointed by this and that I thought they accepted my offer and I was here to finalize everything not continue negotiating. I left very disappointed to say the least.
After the weekend, I received the email from sales rep where he apologized for the previous week informing me they have accepted my terms and that he will need my credit car. Here we go again. I went back there again, and we finalized the deal. Met with Business Manager, went over detail and said the car will be ready for delivery in a week time (Wednesday). He was also to provide me with a quote for additional work, which he did in a day time and I have agreed to proceed with additional work (chip protection). The following Tuesday I have called the Business Manager and asked him if the M Performance Power Kit could also be installed in a car and rolled into my financing. He confirmed that they can do it and provided me with a quote. I told him to go ahead. The following day I followed up with sales rep to see how this additional work will affect my new delivery date (Friday) and was told that M Performance Power kit can t be installed in my vehicle without installation of upgraded exhaust (additional cost). I was taken aback, and sent email to both sales rep and Business Manager not to proceed with this work. In the mean time, I got a price from Budd s BMW in Oakville for M Performance Power Kit installation (without exhaust) and set up installation time to be after the delivery of the vehicle at BMW Toronto.
Delivery day came and to my surprise BMW Toronto didn t have winter tires ready for me to take them home with car. I was told to come back and pick them up at another day. I have also inspected the car an noticed that car was missing a cargo cover. Sales rep apologized again, and told me that it somehow disappeared and that it was on order. I can pick it up at another date and will be notified when it comes in. My final surprise was when I started the car and noticed that the car had additional 100km on it since the time I have purchased it. That was a final straw for me as I can only have imagined how the vehicle was driven for that additional time that was clocked in since the time I have purchased it.
At the end, very disappointed with this dealership. They didn t respect my time and with that me as customer (I will probably have to log at least one more trip to this dealership), didn t get M Performance Power package installed and rolled into finance as promised and the final let down of car not being 100% ready for delivery. At the end, at least somebody had fun with my car driving it for 100km. Good bye BMW Toronto hello Budd s BMW Oakville.
