I own a machine shop and recently emailed a request for quote to Advanced Surface Technology. I had 8 small stainless steel parts which needed nickel plated. No one ever replied to my request although I sent my request to the email provided on their website. I took my parts down myself for the plating we needed. When the parts were ready, I received a call and was informed the cost was $200. I called and spoke to Mike, the Vice President, and said I never received the quote I had requested. I never would have or will again use Advanced Technology. When speaking to Mike, the Vice President, he was very indifferent and said, "that's our minimum price". I asked if there was anything he could do about it and he refused. I mentioned I was shopping for a place to take future parts for other plating and it was obvious he could have cared less. Such a bad experience!

This lack of customer service and indifference is what I would never show to my customers. It's critical to offer fair pricing and outstanding products in such a competitive market.
