I'm a little biased. I love the fair even though I hate crowds. It's always crowded in the evenings and weekends. It's not as bad as Disneyland but its hard to walk a couple steps without bumping into someone. If you don't want to pay for the 25+ dollar parking, you have the possibility of going to the horse tracks and only paying 5 dollars. It used to be free but they changed it this year. The buses are efficient and come every 5-10 minutes so the wait isn't bad. The walking to the bus is short unlike if you park by the fair. Anyways, they have wine, beers, mixed drinks that are sold and consumed in a restricted area. The price range is 5- 25ish dollars. Food vendors are located all throughout the main road. On average I at least spend 50 bucks on myself, which include a meal and rides. Meals usually cost between 15-25 dollars with a drink. Tickets are a totally different moster though. I would much rather get a wrist band than buy individual/group tickets if you plan on riding more than 3 rides. They have art exhibits, monster truck shows and other events happening throughout the month. Hope this helps.
