We only visited the grounds and museum, did not take the tram tour (we thought our small children might be scared). It was amazing just to stand underneath the Gateway Arch! It's 630 ft tall and is really amazing to be underneath. The grounds are very nicely manicured. The museum was free, but we had to make reservations online for a time slot mid-Covid. The gift shop is the best we found in the city, and reasonably priced.
The only reason this is four stars instead of five is that there are no public bathrooms if you visit after 5:00. The only restrooms are in the underground building, which closes at 5:00, even though the park is open later. There are no public restrooms anywhere nearby. We visited with small children, and that factor really cut our visit down and we revisited at a later date, when it was open.
