The Chicago Symphony Center is, not surprisingly something of a grand place, and I always enjoy the Chicago Symphony Orchestra. However, the facility itself is starting to show its age. The seats are worn, the amenities are minimal, and it just looks like it could use a refresher. Perhaps more significantly, the sound varies a fair bit depending on where you are sitting. That's not necessarily a bad thing, it's just a characteristic of the hall.
