I volunteer at the Humane Society of the Treasure Coast. I have watched them work tirelessly to find homes for animals. I have seen animal that seem unadoptable find a forever home. As a person who worked in a shelter in the early 80's I have been impressed with the kindness and extraordinary care the animals receive here. Until you have "walked a mile in their shoes" and observed the condition some poor animals are in when they are brought to the shelter please do not judge. Instead come volunteer and be a part of a great organization doing good work under conditions that are often impossible.
