ER Visit:

ER Visit:
My doctor calls me and tells me to go to the ER because the reason I am ready to pass out is that I am severely anemic and am in need of blood ASAP. I go; I tell the staff this. I wait 1 hour to be seen at all and then another 8 hours for a room in the hospital. It took the staff in the ER 2 hours to realize that my IV wasn't dripping anything in to me. I asked if I could have something to eat. Nurse stated she would have to check my chart to see if I can eat. I ask her 2 more times. She never checks. Horrible experience. I was shaky, cold, weak, and all they did was pop their head in a few times to make sure I was still alive.

Hospital Stay:
The staff is great. They were attentive and answered all of my questions (it was my first time having a transfusion). The doctor only popped in for five minutes, but that's okay. The bed constantly moved - I guess to prevent bed sores and stiffness - which took a little getting used to. It was noisy, too. Afterward, they even wheeled me all the way back to the ER so I wouldn't have to walk so far back to my car.
