Ttl:dr-- good food+wine, eat fast!!!! We showed up 3 minutes late for a 445 pm reservation and they up front told us they needed the table at 615. Totally fine, I get it, it's a small place. So, we're seated, it takes 13 minutes for our server to wander over and take our order in a mostly empty restaurant. He was knowledgeable, and had a great wine recommendation (though I don't know that you need to explain mache to San Franciscans). We got a starter (burrata with pesto and anchovies-good, though not amazing) and pinsa (nightly special- stracciatella, mache, pink peppercorns, smoked trout - tasty!) to share, and 2 glasses of wine. The starter came out pretty quickly..... And then we waited over 45 minutes for the pinsa. The manager was very kind and attentive right at the end, and gave us a little wedge of crumbly ricotta tart with amarene cherries, which was a nice gesture, but it felt really off having punctual service only at the end when they were trying to get us out of the restaurant. I might come back, but with -very- adjusted expectations.
