Booked several rooms without a room block because ...

Booked several rooms without a room block because they only do room blocks for 2 night minimums over the weekend. Even so, when finding out this information, the sales department took a very long time to get back to me, even after several follow ups. I recommend continuously calling to follow up. Rooms were nice. Standard rates include a complimentary bottle of wine. Staff was accommodating, food was great. There is also Crush Lounge on the property which opens late and contains a bowling alley. Unfortunately the alley area was completely booked for a Saturday evening. When contacting the sales department, they specified that you could only book the floor before 4pm on Saturdays. However when trying to reserve a number of lanes, suddenly the entire floor was booked all night? I wish Meritage would be more up front about booking rules.
