Our family has a complex array of insurance needs - an older primary home, rental properties, vacant land, rideshare driving, an adult child away at school, a construction contracting company, and the need for catastrophe / umbrella coverage.

No one likes paying insurance premiums, but let's face it - anybody and any company with assets is continually at risk and under siege - every third bill board, transit bus, taxicab and bus shelter is slathered with "slip and fall...give us a call" ambulance chasing lawyer ads. I grew up in the 1970s...back then, If a kid tripped and fell, parents told them to pick up their feet. Now it's "dial 1-800-sleazelaw"
