Review of Kendall Honda

I bought 2 brand new Honda Civics from Kendall about 2 1/2 years ago. First, my boyfriend and I were sold BS maintenance packages by Jason in finance. I literally paid 600 dollars for 2 oil changes. My boyfriend left once with a nail in his tire after an oil change. On another occasion he left and his car locked up and started veering to the right. When he was able to slowly get back to dealership they told him sorry, the software update didn t take. After numerous apologies from the service manager and a year of free maintenance (on new cars) we let it go.

Yesterday, a different Honda dealorship asked me when I had repaired the rodent damage to the transmission wires. I was confused because I ve never taking the car anywhere for maintenance besides Kendall Honda in Eugene. I had never heard of rodent damage. My transmission had blown (which I already knew) and it was quite obvious someone had taped together the wires with electrical tape. I was told because there had already been work done the manufacturers warranty wouldn t cover it. While they were able to get the car running. It would never be the same and I knew I would have to rebuild the transmission. Quite the bill for a car with 30,000 miles on it.

I m not someone to write reviews. I work in customer service and typically people will find any reason to complain. However, Somewhere along the line of that cars short life, someone fixed the rodent damage. Considering the rodent problem in Eugene and the fact that car sat on Kendall s lot for a few years makes it pretty obvious to me. If I had the money I would of hired an attorney. Instead I bought a used version of the car I already had and now I owe twice as much. At least I can get to work, right? If you do consider buying a car here. Please take it to a local mechanic. Even if it s new! It could possibly save you thousands of dollars and you won t have a day like I had yesterday.
