We tried to go to an event today, but, as often happens, the center is overbooked. The events aren't full, but there's nowhere to park. Signs in the parking lot suggest parking across the street, but everything across the street is a tow zone (d'oh!). I called the center for a suggestion, and their only advice was to park in the mud in an empty lot another block away and hike in (while it's snowing! Nice!). This is not only a horrible situation for people who try to come to events, it's also unfair to businesses the center rents space to for shows, since on a Saturday the events will never be able to fill the space they've rented with customers. The center did me the "favor" of costing me time and money for a wasted drive (and an upset daughter), so I'm doing them the "favor" of letting everyone know I think they're idiots.
