Steven Addair Review of PGT Industries
After hurricane Irma, our "hurricane proof" window...
After hurricane Irma, our "hurricane proof" windows failed. The seal between the glass panes leaked. They are made by PGT Industries. Called on the warranty folks at PGT (sent them pictures) and they said the windows are under warranty. They said to contact my installer to do the warranty work. Well, my installer "Wellhome" is out of business. Okay, called PGT and they gave me a list of installers in my "area". Called ALL of them and NONE will do the warranty work. Why? Because they aren't the original installer. Okay, contacted the warranty person at PGT (won't reveal her name due to privacy concerns) and asked for help on getting an installer out to fix or replace the windows. Sent emails. No response. Quite honestly, it's their windows and to have me spend hours of time looking for an installer to fix their warranted windows is simply unacceptable. They need to take responsibility and find one. Instead, they ignore me. Won't return my inquiries for help. Poor customer service and the windows simply are not up to par. Very disappointed.
