Honestly, my opinion is a bit "torn" between the positive and the negative. The place deserves no doubt, especially for its location! Located in a beautiful area of Verona, just below Castel San Pietro and practically above the Roman Theater, from the Re Teodorico restaurant you can enjoy a unique and spectacular view of the city! For this reason, I particularly recommend dining there, especially during the periods of the year that allow you to stay outside, on its splendid terrace: the view of the city at sunset and at night, with its lights reflecting on the Adige, is magnificent. Regarding the restaurant itself, I believe that its "luck" rests mainly on this "geographical" location: the quality of the food, at least for the dishes I have experienced, is not exceptional; I did not say that I did not like what I ate, all good and delicious (hamburger of fassona, pizza) but not such as to be defined as exceptional. Good assortment of drinks (being also a bar, I think it is discounted), prices not cheap but not extremely high (however it is not a place where you can say to eat on a budget). The reason that made me start this review by saying that I am torn between positive and not is the general atmosphere that you "breathe" at King Theodoric, above all due to the staff and, probably, to those who manage it: I think they are all aware of the the fact that the place is beautiful regardless and, therefore, not everyone I had to deal with while I was there, referred to the staff, took great care of the customer. They didn't shine out of courtesy and kindness! A little snooty like "you came to King Theodoric, and this is already a privilege for you so .... Don't ask me too much and consider yourself lucky! If you're okay with it, that's it, otherwise go away so many customers I have galore and I don't need to be so kind to you "! I'm sorry to say but this sensation was not only perceived by me but also by other diners! Again, not all the staff behaved superficially or snooty but some of them (mostly men), yes! So, I repeat: restaurant 4 stars out of 5 but ... it could have been 5 out of 5! Don't expect too much courtesy and friendliness but ... perhaps the view of the city and the place itself compensate for the "social and human" shortcomings!
