Up until recently I was a devotee of the Apple computer. Then a lightening strike necessitated that I ditch my old friend for a new model. That is where, I suspect, my troubles began, trying to retrieve the data from my time capsule for my new machine. The problems that I encountered were far too numerous to itemise. My machine has steadfastly refused to work properly despite the attentions of two 2 hour phone calls to Apple Care in Portugal, two 2 hour remote access sessions to Apple care in Ireland and two in-patient admissions at Apple stores. An awful amount of time and inconvenience expended for no tangible results!

In desperation rather than hope I contacted MacAssist, having come across their address on my Pad, being at that time my only access to the internet. I took my machine, together with the time capsule to his apartment and was told that the way to resolve my issues was to go back to the basic configuration and then start to retrieve the data from a time prior to the lightening episode.

My machine was kept as an inpatient for a couple of days and was returned to me in pristine health. My love affaire with my Apple Mac OS X has been rekindled.

Will has installed on my Machine a remote access ability so that in the eventuality of me requiring any further assistance he can give it to me without the necessity of physically visiting him. This is a great comfort, knowing that help is on hand.
