This whole experience has been a nightmare. The buffet at the Grand Depot Cafe is disgusting. They stated in their advertising that they have roast turkey on the carving station. This is a lie. They only have it around the holidays. There was nothing I could eat there and so I had to deal with a manager to get my voucher usable somewhere else. Arrived at the Canyon and boarded a tour bus. The bus stopped firat for lunch. The Maswik lodge was not set up and ready to feed guests yet we are on a timetable. Huge line for cafeteria sub par food. Then I checked in and was told room was not ready and I need to come back at 3. Came back at 3 and was told the room was still not ready even though everyone else was getting a room. The line was 50 people deep checking in and I was expected to hang around and waste over an hour of my time waiting on a key. None of the receptionists are friendly and no one is helpful. The manager offered us a pizza and since we can't eat pizza she just said I'm sorry. No offer of another type of food. The rooms at the Maswik Lodge are old and dirty. It would be ok if this package was not extremely pricy. Suppose to be a once in a lifetime event but instead it was a stressful mess. I would recommend doing the park on your own or as a day trip and skip the overnight at the Lodge. You will save a ton of money and aggravation
