The DEC's service to Dallas has greatly impacted my business and personal life.

I started attending the DEC's weekly events in 2014, in my early-entrepreneur stage. I am grateful to have had the fortune of learning from experts who were open and generously willing to share their experiences and knowledge. I took advantage of all that the DEC had to offer, and most of it was free.

Aside from the many great (and lasting) connections and information I received when I was regularly going to the DEC activities, I have particularly enjoyed connecting with Ingrid Vandervelt.

I met her when The DEC brought her in to speak last year (2015), and quickly joined her EBW2020 group. She created a Mastermind group shortly after that, and in January 2016, hosted a women's retreat in San Antonio with Sharon Lechter (!!!) and Lauren Flanagan (!!!) It was the most impactful event of my career.
One of the most dynamic activities she presented that San Antonio weekend was the power of "The Ask". We were instructed to come prepared to present our single most important business need, question, or contact, and were given 2 minutes each to present. It was such a deeply powerful tool, that I brought the concept back to Dallas, to the Small Business | Entrepreneur Mixers that I host in my business location in Midlothian, Texas. When we duplicated the activity, three people left with their needs met, and the biggest ask (and it was a BIG one!) was answered just a few days later. Amazing collaborations! And it all began at The DEC.

I can't imagine running a business without neither The DEC nor Ingrid's teachings. They have been priceless.
