t was my girlfriend birthday and she was a steak lover, having brought her to a few steakhouse before but not many have made the mark, so I've sourced a few steakhouse and find Morton to have quite a good review so I decided to try it out. And indeed it was a wonderful experience with Morton from the food to service, I have none to complain about. Its definitely one of my top 3 restaurants.

You could also tell the receptionist during your call to reserve the table that it was a special occasion, they actually took an effort to have a instant photo taken and put it in a card with the person name on it. An effort worth mentioning.

A waiter would ask if you are first time here and he would have a big tray of different parts of the beef and explained to you to choose your favorite cut.

Half a dozen of fresh oyster (4.5/5)
The oyster was very fresh, big and succulent, one of the best I've ever eaten. Dont mind just having this.

Porterhouse steak (4.5/5)
The steak was very well executed, the doneness was exactly medium-well. My girlfriend doesnt like to have any sign of blood for the steak thou many would prefer it medium-rare or medium. The porterhouse steak was very tender and juicy, the black pepper sauce was also well balanced, not too spicy.

Chicken Christopher (4.5/5)
That day, I didnt feel like having steak so I decided to try something else, the waiter recommend me chicken Christopher, well I wasnt quite keen initially as it was chicken breast meat and I definitely doesnt like chicken breast but the waiter told me that it is one of their signature and it doesnt have the dryness of the chicken breast. And I'm grateful that the waiter recommend this or I would never order chicken breast. The batter of the chicken is well seasoned and the chicken is juicy and tender but the portion was quite big, I only managed to finished 1.1/2 of it even thou it was very delicious.

Didnt managed to try their signature dessert as we have make a cake together in the morning and bought it to the restaurant as our dessert. Would like to go back sometimes later to have a meal again and this time try their dessert.

I spent $175 per person.

Must tries: steaks, Chicken Christopher

I also recommend this place for:
Anniversary, Business Dining, Dinner, Fine Dining, Lunch, Relaxed
