The Gateway Arch is perhaps the most recognizable landmark in St. Louis. As a St. Louis native, I've been up to the top many times. You board a very small, oval shaped capsule and ride to the top, where you are greeted with some of the best views in the Lou... especially the Mississippi River. After viewing the city, you ride the tram back to the bottom.

There's also an interpretive museum that chronicles the birth of St. Louis, telling the story of Lewis and Clark and the Indian settlements that were the beginnings of this beautiful city.

The cost is reasonable and it's something that everyone can enjoy. A must do!
