Adelaide Zoo has an incredible collection of birds, their breeding program of the Orange Bellied Parrot is literally saving them each year from extinction. I was really impressed with the enrichment I saw for the animals on the day I went, and the cleanliness of the exhibits. Talks were well staggered throughout the day so you didn t have to rush from one to another. If you want to save some cash, my hot tip is bring your own snacks and picnic on the beautiful lawns & refill your water bottles at the water fountains available. Always best to get there early when the animals are lively and fresh in the morning for best photos as well can t wait to see the new exhibits as they are improved.
