jeff singer Review of Shellpoint mortgage servicing
The process of taking advantage of a recast offer ...
The process of taking advantage of a recast offer has been horrible.
We sent in the required signed document, $300 fee, and the amount we wanted to lay down which exceed the dollar amount required.
The funds have since posted to our checking account and our last statement failed to reflect the new payment. We contacted Shellpoint on numerous occasions and was not given a reason as to why the recast don t showing up even tho the funds were applied to our principal balance.
Last week called and advised we wanted escalate the issue to their voice of the customer to file a complaint.
Per Respa they are required to respond. As of today we have heard back.
I called again today asking about the status of the recast and the complaint we filed. The rep stated she had no record.
I again indicated I wanted to file a complaint. Her relay e was is there anything else she could help with.
She didn t ask for and email address for them to respond ot the complaint.
At this point they are surely in violation of steels guidelines and I am now filing a CFPB complaint and reaching out to my state attorney general.
