My mother and I went here on a weekday afternoon, probably around 1 pm. They were packed but the wait was pretty short to get a table. It's after we got the table things went awry. We waited at least 15 minutes to be waited on. At one point I saw one server flag down another and slyly motion to our table as I believe he was supposed to be our waiter but he just shrugged and ignored her. This is probably why our wait was so long as he just didn't want to wait on us. Our waitress, when she eventually got to us, was super nice and helpful but it was obvious she was busy and doing a lot.

Food was good - my mom ordered the beef on weck and was disappointed that the roast beef wasn't soaked in any juice. I had the elk burger. It was delicious though I learned game meats shouldn't been cooked medium rare... that's on me though. I did request the burger with no mushrooms but it still came with mushrooms. Easy enough to pick off I thought but man, there were A LOT of mushrooms. Oh well.

I think my biggest complaint is cleanliness. When we were there the place was DIRTY. Floors covered in food and papers, everything slightly sticky... I won't be returning to this location solely because I felt like I needed a shower after sitting down and if the seating area is that gnarly I'd hate to see the kitchen. I will give the restaurant the benefit of the doubt that perhaps it was a busy day and it's not normally so icky but I'm not willing to risk another trip and $80 to find out.

Pros: The blue crab dip was freaking AMAZING oh my god. The elk burger was good but slightly cold when I got it. My mom requests the roast beef be dipped into the sauce before being placed on the bun.

Cons: Dirty inside, wait times were long, seemed like only one employee was working really and she was stressed.
