I have been to a large number of spas before but never experienced one so horribly overcrowded. We chose to come in the summer so we could spend time outside but even at noon/1pm there was not one lounger without towels on it. Even though there was nobody on most of them - presumably they had gone off to use other facilities or have lunch selfishly leaving their towels there. The situation was exactly the same all afternoon - and even worse as at one time the number of people in the pool was so numerous that they were standing shoulder to shoulder - it was like blackpool beach on a sunny bank holiday. So very downmarket. The management is at fault here - they should go around taking towels off empty beds. They should also fold new ones onto the now empty beds as they do at more upmarket spas. And they should of course never have allowed this many people to be on the premises. By the end of the day other communal areas were overfull too. It all felt very like a public baths. I believe the spa should limit the numbers as it is quite patently trying to cram in as many people as possible to make as much money as possible. We also had afternoon tea which we could not finish but were not allowed to take away the remaining items even though we were then leaving the premises. Petty. No shampoo in showers - just combination shower/hair wash. Conditioner did not remove tangles at all. I could go on. All in all a very sub average spa visit not worth the money.
