UPDATED 12/27/15 Lord Chamberlain Administration i...

UPDATED 12/27/15 Lord Chamberlain Administration is admonishing Supervisor who "wrote up" the this incident, even after hearing the facts. Said Supervisor "rushed to judgement" by documenting the facts. NO,by writing this incident up the Supervisor was, in fact, doing her job! It is now the job of Administration to deal with the facts and the male nurse.
Its clear, already, that this current Administration does not tolerate factual documentation, turns the blame onto its Supervisor, and therefore not take any disciplinary action. Per regulatory agencies, incidents should not be swept under the rug. AND this is a re- portable incident both inside and outside of Lord Chamberlain to regulatory agency.
Our family has lodged a complaint today (12/26/15) due to gross negligence and blatant dishonesty by a male nurse on Christmas Day, resulting in Mom NOT receiving her heart and blood thinner medications, while under his watch.Administration is currently meeting to decide what they will do about this dishonest, incompetent and dangerous male staffer. This person needs to be fired. At the least he will never be involved in Mom's care again. His bad behavior has made us lose confidence in this facility. So,regardless of the outcome, please BE VIGILANT , ask questions, and more importantly pop into the facility early in the am to see for yourself. Besides the medication error and cover up yesterday, this am Mom did not have breakfast, was not washed up, was not dressed until family popped in this am. Also took over 12 minutes for staff to respond to her call. She needs help getting up. This was witnessed by family this am. Mom has been in LChamberlain less than a week. She had pneumonia and needs to have physical therapy to regain her strength.
These are the FACTS because they were witnessed by family..On Christmas day family observed pills in a cup in her room. When her male nurse was asked by family why the pills were there, he lied and said he gave Mom her pills. ( Nurse always wait while patient takes all meds brought into room)Then he proceeded to remove the pills from her room. This was witnessed by family. So he failed TWICE to give medications, the second time when he took them away. then lied to family, who knew better. Today,he is maintaining his lie to administration and saying Mom does not take those meds. That's an absolutely illogical cover up story. This is unacceptable. Depending on the outcome of Admin. " investigation" we may be taking Mom out of there. Be so advised.
