The Albert is a great example of a historic pub that doesn't really care that it's historic and is just getting on with selling beer to people. It's fairly priced, not that many people order food, bar service is always quick, there's a nice beer garden and they don't mind dogs walking through the pub to the garden if you're out walking the dog and fancy a pint on the way home. There's a host of regulars and it has a feeling that if you turned up every day, there's probably several interesting story lines happening between the regulars, bar staff and other Lark Lane characters at any given point. I've ended up having a drunken singalong with strangers in the garden here, I've sat in corners writing with colleagues, I've been for the pub quiz, I've been for beers countless times. A proper local pub replete with everything a local pub should have,
