We had high expectations for Blue Water given all the great reviews. Unfortunately our dinner experience was quite lackluster.

The service felt transactional, very matter-of-fact, not warm and welcoming like one would expect from a higher end establishment.

The quality of food was mediocre overall. We should have realized that the sushi here is not its specialty. I actually found a bone in my yellowtail nigiri. We also thought the nigiri platter would have some of the better pieces of fish but that was not the case. Order individual nigiri if you absolutely have to, and do not expect them to be pre-seasoned with wasabi and soy sauce. The only saving grace was the A5 Wagyu Beef from Miyazaki Prefecture. That was fantastic.

If we had to choose again for the only dinner/evening we had in town, it wouldn't be here.
