Gary Hwu Review of Alamo Drafthouse Cinemas

Sometimes when I don't feel like cooking at home, I eat out. Sometimes when I eat out, I go to Alamo Drafthouse.
One of the things I love about Alamo Drafthouse now is that they take reserved seating; this means you can choose seats of your choice prior to the movie without having to deal with someone saving seats for their friends.
Food service is great as the servers are very attentive and make ordering easy. The food items are a little pricey but tasty. I still recommend getting the old fashion buttered popcorn though.
Before the movie starts they usually have commercials catered towards Austin or whatever theme they're hosting (they have quote-along movies). The commercials are quite hilarious and clever.
Advice: Reserve a few hours ahead of time, write down the reservation #, bring a jacket, and DON'T throw away your seating receipt (they use it to keep track of your food orders)!
