Got hired on full time through a temp agency. Worked there for a total of 6-7 months. Was recently fired yesterday after being suspended indefinitely Thursday afternoon on April 18,2019 for A team 1 safety violation I was holding a box cutter without safety gloves because I had left mine at home and didn t find the person who could give me gloves at the time so I was going to proceed to use the box cutter accordingly until someone noticed I had the box cutter without wearing safety gloves and without and warning or notice I was escorted off the property and told I was under investigation until further notice. I had to call them for an update on my current employment status because I was hoping I wasn t going to lose my job over that but the way I was escorted out I immediately started applying for new jobs. Keep in mind that I ve never done anything wrong, always followed the rules, I had a clean slate but was let go over this reason. The sad part is that I didn t even get to explain my reasoning for not having gloves or nothing period. I also told other people the reason for the company letting me go and they believed it was a different reason for firing me but they blamed it on that, because no one would fire someone over one minor safety violation especially if they have a clean record. Starting off they were good to me but seeing that I didn t even get a word in before being terminated indefinitely did suck because of my situation outside of work. I wish everyone there the best of luck and this is definitely an experience to remember.
