I have been coming here for many years and the present owners really do seem to be turning this back into a great pub and restaurant.
The food is not budget but the portions are large and I was served in good time by polite staff. There is a very good selection of beers and spirits.
The best thing about this pub at this time of year is the outside space. Loads of seating including a semi enclosed area with grape vines overhanging. Lots for the kids to do and an amazing view across the south downs. There is also a very large walker friendly car park which is a great starting point for some of the best walks in the south.
