We had been looking forward to visiting Maximaal for quite a long time and immediately the first thing I have to report is that the food was fantastic, beautifully laid out, very tasteful and well portioned. We had already reserved a table at the start of the week and this is also recommended because of a limited number of tables (our neighbors were given a table at 1800, provided they were gone again at 1900). There was a good ambiance, parking was easy and the gentlemen in the service very neat and correct. We almost all had the daily menu and 1 someone else (were with 4) and we were there at 1850. Downside was that the starter lasted more than an hour and later when that was taken out we heard from the host that he had forgotten the receipt and for that sorry. However, the main course also came an hour later. Dessert faster. The point of improvement is that, in my opinion, the error could have been treated with something more than sorry. Everyone around us already got the food earlier. This was a bummer on the nice evening and it was very hot in the restaurant. We will definitely eat there again and hope that it will go a bit smoother.
