I started using this shop because my dad went here as I was growing up. They've changed ownership over the years. They always give you the standard list of things you could be doing, which is fine.

Over the recent past I've felt that the service has become less customer friendly. Most recently I brought a car in for a knocking noise. It was diagnosed as a strut. I was told all the struts and some shocks had failed. Fine. After settling on a price I got called for additional parts needed for the same job. Fine, that happens. The total ended up being 15-20% more. Fine.

I come down to pick up the car at the end of the day only to find that they'd called me on my way (I was riding a bike) to say they didn't have all the parts in. They did give me a service loaner, which was super. I came back following day to grab the car. I took it home and looked at the invoice. It showed charges for 2 rear shocks then stated "replaced left rear shock". I got under the car and, sure enough, despite being charged for two, there was only one new one on the car.

I had been in the shop the day before and saw all four wheels off the car. So, when they offered for me to bring the car back in and they'd cover the labor (to install the part I already paid for and they'd already removed the wheel to put in) that seemed fine, except I've already paid for the the labor. Now I'm missing more work to bing the car in again.

Servicing cars at a dealer is a premium, and I expect a bit more professionalism for the price.

2 stars because despite the huge annoyance and borderline fraud, I've come here for years and do really want to like the place.

Just disappointed they're not doing more. When asked why the part was not placed on the car the reason given was that the mechanic did not think there was time to remove the rusted bolt. I'm not sure how that a) makes it okay to charges for a part that was not used and b) suddenly means the part does not require replacement. Certainly, had I been contacted, I'd have agreed to grant them time to complete the job correctly.

Instead, I'm making several trips and having trouble trusting their work now. They would certainly expect me to pay for extra time of theirs that was required for a job. We will see if they offer any further explaination or recourse.

I will update with any changes.
