Walked in as a table of 4 without reservations and...

Walked in as a table of 4 without reservations and got sat right away. It's quaint. There were a few other parties including a larger one but most seemed to be on their way out. Within one minute of sitting down a server came up to us and abruptly asked us if we were "...ready to order or at least put in a drink order." we hadn't even opened the menu. It was odd. We said he would need a minute and he was gone faster than a bullet Then about twelve minutes later he returns. We asked a question about the gluten free menu (we found this place on the Find me Gluten Free app and it had good allergen reviews, plus dairy free cheese for pizza as well!) and he was again gone after a brief "ok". Ok, didn't even answer my question. When he returned he didn't even stop, kind of did a walk by, hand out "here ya go" with a new menu and then was gone in a flash. Then after waiting another 15 minutes we walked out. I am all for people having bad days but as I stated this place is small so I was watching him pow around with a smile and be joyful with LITERALLY every other person (patron or co-worker) so he clearly wasn't having a bad day. We went across the street to Mama Gina's only to find out after dinner on the receipt that they just bought this place. Total bummer for us as we wouldn't have gone there if we knew. Customer service HERE is terrible, Mama Gina's is spot on.
