Authentic Korean food in Thornhill!

Authentic Korean food in Thornhill!

Our party of six consisting of three adults and three children arrived at 5:20pm on a Saturday afternoon. We were seated immediately, and lucky we got there early, because when we left an hour later it got so busy.

The restaurant looks roomy but the booth type seating areas felt tight. For more leg room there I saw seats in the back corner with movable benches, and also two tables with chairs.

We ordered Kalbi (short ribs), Squid Bibimbap, three marinated beef Korean BBQ style, and got all the side dishes including this Korean pancake that looks like a small pizza, filled red peppers, red onions, and squid!

The first two marinated beef was good, sliced adequately, and not too sweet for me. The third order, which was a garlic beef, was a little chewy for me, a different texture then the first two. The Kalbi was good, my son really enjoys eating this when we go to a Korean restaurant. The Bibimbap was a mixture of sweet and hot.

The food overall was good, but the portions of Korean BBQ meat I thought were small. Please note that you are required to order two marinated beef as a minimum order for Korean BBQ, as I understand it. Each order of the beef was $34.

The service was great, the servers cook the meat for you and replace the grill as it turns black. What was an eyesore for me was pop drinks, I believe it was, stacked at the front of the store in the eating area. It looked to be blocking another door, perhaps a fire exit door? Good place to meet with friends, but get ready to pay as it can be costly.
