He was my first neurologist. I started having Cronic migraines. He did not even attempt to solve the mystery of why I have them...he just immediately started ordering nerve block shots and eventually Botox Shots. I had a letter from my insurance stating they would "cover" the shots and asked 2 different doctors if this meant I would owe anything and was assured I wouldn't. I told them I didn't have $1500 to "try" this medicine and was told it took a few times to even work. But then got a $1500 bill for one shot. When I called they said "covering it doesn't mean they'll pay for it". Even though I repeatedly asked before the shot. If you just want a prescription then he's fine. If you want anything more I suggest you go somewhere else. Most important ask for cost predictions in writing and ask for a bill every time you come in. I came in over and over paying my co-pay and didn't realize my insurance wasn't paying for office visits anymore.. charging me $150 out of pocket. They never told me until multiple visits had stacked up to a huge bill! Not their fault what the insurance companies did the last few years...but ethically very wrong to let a patience come over and over and not mention the balance or the change in insurance practices.
