I work for myself repairing windows and replacing glass. Whilst at a customers home in Mississauga I had the homeowner come to me saying there was someone wanting to speak to me at the door.

Thinking it was one of the neighbors wanting some work done I repositioned the piece of glass I was in the midst of replacing and went to the door. There was a couple at the door looking like a pair of Jehovas witnesses, but they wanted to discuss selling me insurance. My van is signwritten with my office number and website enough to make contact through. But oh no she thought I would drop everything and want to know more!

Who in their right mind thinks it is acceptable knock on a homeowners door to ask to speak to the contractor they have called into do work and try to sell them insurance?

Distracted and p!ssed off with the sales woman from Landmark, I was asked by the homeowner to move my van to one side, not thinking I moved the van forgetting I had a few pieces of glass not secured awaiting to replace ... crash the glass falls scratching a big iece on the other side of the van costing me money to replace and leaving me swearing infront of the customers daughter.

Had this Landmark sales lady not interfered with my task it would not have happened. I called her, and left a message for her to call me. When she called I told her what I thought of her sale approach to which she thought I was rude the issues she'd caused, she then blamed the homeowner for responding to her request to get me despite him saying I was busy she insisted.

I would not touch this companys insurance on the basis their staff have no respect for other peoples time!
