Just left after sitting and waiting 20 minutes for...

Just left after sitting and waiting 20 minutes for one of the servers to even come to our table or even acknowledge us, but they seemed adamant ignoring us and hoping we would just leave, and instead tended to the two tables on either side of us. We tried getting their attention, but they avoided all eye contact. We were even ready to order the moment we sat down.

We wanted to go somewhere fun and memorable for Christmas Eve but apparently arriving an hour and 20 min before closing time was considered too late for them. And instead of just simply informing us of that, or telling us that when we called ahead, they thought it better to just ignore us and hope we would leave.

I've been a server for years and have worked holidays so I understand when you're just wanting to get home to your family, but it's another thing to just blatantly ignore customers. Definitely disappointed, as it was our first time and definitely our last.
