In the area for 2 months so have stayed in several properties and this was by far the biggest disappointment. Hallway and elevator carpets were always dirty. Took forever for hot water in the AM and according to front desk it s just the way it is and can take up to 20 minutes. Pretty bad when you are here to work in support of the recent disaster and cannot take a morning shower. No lobby coffee or anyway to have breakfast when you leave early as most workers do. But breakfast was a joke anyway even for Diamond members. HVAC system thumps on and off and it s pretty loud. Here s what really got us- on Tuesday we lost all water in the room- neighbors asked us if we had water- no, so I went to the desk who told us there was scheduled renovations until appx 1pm and water had to be turned off . Why the heck didn t they warn us???? Heard another couple was mid shower when they lost water and when they complained to the manager they got yet another story that it was an emergency water issue. So who s telling the truth?
In reality this is tying to be a resort but it s nothing lore than a gated family with kids hotel on the beach. For business travelers I do not recommend it and Hilton should really look into the management at this hotel. Way too worn out and mismanaged for the price. Some staff were awesome but being lied to by a manager for an excuse to fail to notify guests of a planned water outage is not good.
Lastly- do not bother with the lobby restaurant/sushi bar. It was disgustingly low budget and poorly prepared.
Will not go back nor recommend.
