An obviously beautiful property with some great reviews. Arrived early Friday morning, I did not expect to get a room any time soon with check in time being 4pm.The young woman at the front desk was very helpful and got a room together for me within an hour. Awesome! Was out all day and night and came back to the hotel to find my slot on my door wasn t working.... After dealing with the front desk and multiple security guards, no one could get into the room, no solution was presented and I did not have access to any of my belongings for hours. Finally moving me to a suite, I found items left from the previous guest, including old contact lenses on the bathroom counter. Ew. Still having no access to my belongings, I had changed into one of their robes and placed my Tiffany s necklace in the pocket. The next day, housekeeping never entered the room until I had already left after 2pm & obviously took the robe/ towels. This necklace was extremely sentimental to me and that was expressed. Returning that night I immediately called security, in which they contacted housekeeping that had informed them they found my necklace in the pocket and left it on the bed. Totally false. The necklace was never found and security said they would open an investigation. While trying to enjoy the little time I had left with family, I had trusted that a property of this measure would take care of the issue at hand. Again false. When checking out, I had to explain the whole fiasco to multiple personnel because there was absolutely no communication. I spoke with Michelle, supposed manager, that went to retrieve items I had accidentally left in my previous room, but conveniently went on her lunch during the poor effort that went in to solving the issues. I was never refunded for the night of the door being broken and none of my belongings were found/ return. On top of everything, I have contacted customer service and the current Executive Assistant Miriam Ribero, and I have yet to receive a response. UNACCEPTABLE and totally displeased. Loews Miami Beach will not receive my business!
