Site of the 2002 Salt Lake City Winter Olympics downhill course, Snowbasin is approximately 40 miles north of SLC in Ogden. Snowbasin has very nice amenities and facilities but isn't intimidating for those unfamiliar with the resort. A warm and friendly staff awaits you. No question I asked was met with rolling eyes or an attitude. If you want to venture outside the resorts in Park City or Big Cottonwood or Little Cottonwood Canyons in Salt Lake county, Snowbasin is a terrific option. Experience why Utah's dry powder is called "The Greatest Snow on Earth" at this very nice resort. Full banquet and reception facilities are available for a business or family gathering. I went to a wedding reception there recently and have skied there, too. My son snowboards there often. A favorite of mine.
