When I first heard of the Logophilia I didn't quite fall in love with the idea. Workshop for...etym...err..English?! (etymology was a rather fancy word for me back then, too fancy to be remembered with correct spelling and proper pronunciation)
And boy was I wrong!
L+p teaches etymology, which is the art of constructing words from some basic roots.
