Betsy and I had a wonderful weekend at the Valentine Lodge! The rooms were cozy, comfy and had everything we needed. The location was perfect: we wanted to visit Saugatuck; the Valentine Lodge is in Douglas, but right on the border between Douglas and Saugatuck. The location gave us the opportunity to visit both cities, in a quiet, peaceful setting. The gardens are beautiful, the food excellent and the owners friendly, helpful and caring. Margaret truly cares for her guests and accommodates their needs. Margaret and Al are both artists and their home full of art was very interesting. We had a great weekend!
