Kruger National Park is a national park in South Africa. The park covers an area of 19, 485 square meters (7,523 m 2), located in the provinces of Limpopo and Empomalanga in the northeastern part of South Africa. The park is 360 kilometers (220 miles) from the north to the south, and 65 kilometers (40 miles) from the east to the west. The park's area was first protected by the Government of South Africa in 1898, and was registered as the first South African National Park in 1926.
