We went down the tubing runs twice and then the conveyor belt stopped working. They wouldn't let us walk up it, so we waited about 15 to 20 min. They would start/stop the belt, causing everyone to almost lose their balance. Seems that was more dangerous than just letting us walk up. Fortunately, no one got hurt. They eventually let us walk up, which is not easy for the older folks and young folks too. Those tubes are big, somewhat heavy, and awkward to carry. They let us go down again after it started working, only for it to all happen again. Again, another 15 to 20 minutes lost. Then, they let us walk up again. People were frustrated. We had lost about half of the 1 hr 45 min session at this point. The employees were very flippant and stated, "you won't get any money back...this happens a lot and it's often shut down for 30 min or more." Now, that is ridiculous. They charge $35/person and have 80 to 90 people for each session, which is every 2 hours. There is NO EXCUSE the equipment doesn't work. Also, it turns out the employees were supposed to space us every 20 ft to ride the belt. Why was this not known by the employees? They should be better trained, as this was not day 1 of the season. The belt quit working several other times. Many people just left out of frustration and irritation. Furthermore, the employees had no walkies to communicate from the top of the hill to the bottom. There is NO EXCUSE the employees aren't provided with the equipment they need. I called the administration office and they were not very helpful nor did they seem to care about the guests annoyance. This cost a lot of money and we lost at least half of our session, with no compensation nor concern from the office or employees.
