The hotel staff can be more focused on the customer need rather than meeting their timelines and work. 2 specific examples from my stay which put me off a little:
1) I was having a 1X1 meeting late in the night, and wanted a beer since it was 11:30. Firstly the BAr lady refused and asked me to order as room service in the Lobby. When I tried doing that, they told me that it can't be done.
2) NExt day for breakfast I reached 5 mins late for breakfast so while some spread was still there they refused the entry. I don't mind that but the lady at the counter didn't allow me a takeaway coffee citing that breakfast time is over. She wasn't wrong, but it left me unhappy.
