Service department does not listen! My husband and I scheduled our 2016 XC90 Inscription in for a look over before the 50K mile warranty expired along with three (more!) recall issues. Over the phone, my husband clearly told them what we wanted and a service rep confirmed with a manager they would do that. When I arrived at the dealer to drop the car off I noticed the paperwork stated the car was in for a 50K service and I corrected the service rep and also clearly stated we did NOT want them to do the 50K service, just look it over for warranty purposes and let us know BEFORE they did any work. Needless to say that didn't happen. My husband goes to pick it up and they've done the entire 50K service and charged him for it. When he asked why they said they don't give their cars a once over before they go out of warranty.
Say what?!?
Ok so nevermind the fact that this was discussed several times, both on the phone and in person and cleared with a manager, but you buy a $70K car and can't get the dealer to just look it over while it's still under warranty??? Questionable customer service to say the least. Apparently, we should've bought a KIA.
