I am absolutely appalled. Saturday 1st June 2019, ...

I am absolutely appalled. Saturday 1st June 2019, someone on stable fields (st Luke's park wickford) decided to have a very loud party. Starting in the evening from around 6pm running through until 3am!!! We are from Greece. We are used to noise late at night. However after 1am it was still as loud as at it was at 6pm. So I called the police at 1:30am who then told me to speak with the council to send a noise officer out. When I made the call, I was told the officer would call me back to confirm details. Which he did. He also told me I wasn't the only one to complain. That others in the area have also made calls. However he advised all of us that he would send them a "letter" in the post NEXT WEEK. to notify them that they disturbed us. We pay 1700 per year being in band D for council tax. This includes services from the council. The officer then said he COULD come out but it would take hours to gather police to knock on their door. Pathetic. And so he thanked me for the call and hung up. I am disgusted with the lack of consideration even after the fact that my 10 year old daughter woke up so many times and I told the officer this. Absolutely disgusted with this. Of course the music and shouting, clinging of glasses and loud laughing went on until 3am. Of course if was to park in a parking spot for 10,9 seconds after my allocated time paid for, the parking fine would be at my house the very next day. It's ridiculous. Absolutely ridiculous.
