I love amusement parks. Went to Kinds Dominion the Monday after July fourth which Also happened to be a rainy day. There are Lots of rides. It was clean and well maintained.
The park was just about empty. That was great when it came to riding the rides. LOTS of coasters. And other rides. (I will not be riding the Anaconda or the Flight of fear again anytime soon. They hurt my head. Took me too long to recover from them). There is also the Snoopy area that is for younger kids that looks pretty fun. There were no lines to speak of unless you wanted to ride the front or back of a coaster, then you might have to wait one or two turns. So that was wonderful. We didn't make it to the waterpark.
The not so wonderful thing was the lack of ANY shows or Non-ride entertainment. And the truly irritating thing was the number of food spots that weren't even open. Very disappointing. I don't know if that was due to the low turnout or if it's always like that during the week or because of the weather but I didn't feel like I got full value for my ticket. I do intend to go back because the rides are great. Hopefully everything will be open next time.
