They called me today after I had signed a petition...

They called me today after I had signed a petition, after 5 minutes of talking I kindly said I didn't have time to talk. The man replied that he would call me back tomorrow at 4-5pm to talk about another cause; asylum seekers. He started to go on and on about what was going on. I asked if there was an incentive to give a donation, and that I was not interested in doing so. He was extremely pushy about calling me back the next day and saying he is trying to spread 'awareness' about the cause and a donation was up to me. When I said that I did not want a callback he was so rude and judgemental. He said something like "well go ahead and enjoy your picnic while I keep spreading awareness". Extremely rude and judgemental. I signed a petition about an unrelated cause, and I am pressured to be called when I say I am not interested, and made to feel like a horrible person for not wanting to speak to a stranger on the phone whose goal is to pressure people to donate. Activism like this does not work. If someone is not interested, respect that and don't judge them. There are SO many human and animal rights issues right now and just because I am not interested in having a long conversation about another one does not necessitate such a judgemental attitude. Really off put by your organisation now- I will not be signing anything else because of this.
