I booked this hotel one month in advance to stay in a King suite on the top floor with my wife after a nice dinner and Beethoven's ninth symphony by the Spokane Symphony. The first two events were great and we checked into the Davenport at 9 pm. We were given room 1418. It is a beautiful king suite with an adjoining door to the presidential suite. Unfortunately, there were twenty somethings staying in the presidential suite having a bit of a party, and the acoustics were just as if they were in my room. Ruined the evening. The hotel was booked, so there were no replacement rooms. We were forced to check out and drive home. Davenport lost $300, and I lost my taste for ever staying in or recommending the Davenport again. I don't hold the staff responsible, but whoever designed the adjoining situation and the sound proofing clearly wasn't qualified for the position. The did and extremely poor job, and now Davenport hotel has to live with ruining its reputation with business travelers such as myself.
